SAFETY and WELLBEING

International House considers safety one of the most important aspects of the program and we put a huge amount of efforts to ensure students have a great and safe time. We have multiple Staff Members ( we call them Dons) who sleep on campus and are there 24/7 so students can go to for any problem they have and our staff will be happy to help them.

The campus has it own Security Police that patrols the premises 24/7 as well as the IH security patrol.

No one expect who lives there has access to the building where the students live. Each students has its own key for the room and the building.

We have a Health Care Officer on campus available 24/7. He or She will be the first contact point for students should they need medical attention. He or She will also be with the student if needed at the clinic or hospital the whole time and help them through the processes at the hospital and even filling in the related documentation.

All students who do not live with us ( The Day Program students) will be taken care of by our staff and no-one will leave at the end of their day without being signed off from an adult relative, family member or family friend. A staff member will be there with them until they have been picked up. They can leave campus by themselves only after we receive a written parental permission.

Our staff is with the students at all times during the program and the ratio of our staff members to our students is great.

All students have personalized ID cards with the name and address of the campus where they stay. The ID also includes all emergency numbers of the program so we can always be available for them if needed.

The campus has an office where students can always go there everyday from 8:00 - 22:00 for any questions or issues they may have.

No one can leave the campus unless we have a prior written consent from the parent.
