Accommodation, Safety and Wellbeing

Sol Camps primary concern is the safety of students who come under our care. We ensure students stay safe whilst enjoying all aspects of the programme we offer at Sol Camps Oxford.

Our experienced staff are on hand 24/7 to assist with the needs of all students participating in our courses. Students are supervised fully throughout the day, from when they wake up to when they go to sleep. All of our staff have criminal background checks, are safeguarding and child protection trained, and our senior management are all trained with First-Aid. Our student to staff ratio is in line with recommended government guidelines.

Our Oxford Camp is hosted at Wychwood School, a private independent boarding school a short walk away from the centre of Oxford. The picturesque setting of Wychwood School combined with the historical and cultural backdrop of Oxford makes learning English in the UK a great experience for our students.

The accommodation at Wychwood School is classic boarding school type accommodation with a mixture of shared rooms which include; single bed, dresser, shelving, desk, chair and access to Wifi which is available across the Camp.

Laundry facilities are available for students to use during their stay, and our staff are on hand to help students wash and dry their clothes. We recommend students label their clothes prior to arrival.

Wychwood School has great facilities for use by students during their stay; including tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts as well as the use of indoor facilities.

The School is located close to local medical and dental practices, and we recommend that students purchase travel insurance prior to their arrival in the UK.

Students under the age of 13 are not permitted to leave the school without being accompanied by a member of our team or their Group Leader. Students aged between 13-17 are permitted to leave the school to explore the local area at lunch time if they have written permission (prior to arrival) from their parent/guardian.

If you have questions prior to arrival, please contact us at
